All of our blackout rollers feature a 3-pass blackout fabric made up of a 100% polyester fabric so whether you choose a light or dark fabric the blackout effectiveness will be the same. As well as having blackout qualities the 3-pass fabric provides fantastic thermal insulation properties, keeping warmth inside the property during the colder months & blocking the sun's heat during the Summer.

Where to use an electric blackout roller blind?

Electric Blackout Roller Blinds are perfect for rooms where you want to block out as much daylight as possible & achieve complete privacy. They are our most popular blinds for bedrooms & nurseries as they prevent the majority of bright sunlight or street lamp light entering the room allowing you to get a good night's sleep (or a well deserved lie in!) but they are suitable for almost any room including living rooms, conservatories, dining rooms & kitchens.

How to install a blackout roller blind?

Our Electric Blackout Blinds are quick & easy to install & come with straightforward instructions to follow. To install, you simply need to fix your cassette brackets in the desired position & mount the blind into the brackets. Further details on how to install can be found on our Fitting Guides page. Your blind will be pre-programmed so you can simply fit the blind in the brackets, connect it to your power source & away you go!

How to measure for blackout roller blinds?

It can be daunting measuring up for made to measure roller blinds so we have tried to make the process for measuring as easy as possible.

Using a steel tape measure, you will need to take measurements in 3 places for the width & 3 places for the drop. You can then use the smallest measurement for each. Where you take these measurements from will depend on whether you plan to fit inside or outside of the recess.
